Chemical natures

Butyl acrylate is a colorless liquid with a sharp odor. It is readily miscible with most organic solvents. Sensitization to n-butyl acrylate can occur in those in the dental profession.

Applications

Intermediate in organic synthesis, polymers and copolymers for solvent coatings, adhesives, paints, binders, emulsifiers.

Butyl acrylate is primarily used as a reactive building block to produce coatings and inks,adhesives, sealants, textiles, plastics and elastomers.
