Product Description

Chemical natures

Paclobutrazol is an inhibitory triazole plant growth regulator, first developed in 1984 by the British company Bunemen (ICI). It is an inhibitor of endogenous gibberellin synthesis, which can significantly weaken the growth advantage of the apex, promote the growth of lateral buds, thick stem, and compact dwarf plants. It can increase the content of chlorophyll, protein and nucleic acid, reduce the content of gibberellin in plants, and also reduce the content of indoleacetic acid and increase the release of ethylene. It works mainly through root uptake. The amount absorbed from the leaf is small, not enough to cause morphological changes, but it can increase yield.

Applications

Paclobutrazo has high application value for the control effect of crop growth. The quality of rapeseed seedlings treated by Paclobutrazo was significantly improved, and the frost resistance was greatly increased after transplanting. Paclobutrazo It also has the effect of dwarfing, controlling tips and early fruiting of peach, apple, and citrus plants. Herbaceous and woody flowers treated with paclobutrazole are compact and more ornamental. Paclobutrazo has a longer effective period in soil. After harvesting, attention should be paid to ploughing the medicinal plots to reduce the inhibitory effect on the post-stubble crops.
